TYP VIP: AT&T San Jose Jazz Festival

Rub elbows and get down with TYP, genARTS and SJSV Chamber of Commerce VIPs at the 21st annual AT&T San Jose Jazz Festival downtown San Jose.

This year’s headliner is none other than George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic.  Included in the ticket price is VIP Tent access, food and beverages (of the adult sort) and the Friday main stage performance.

Following the performance, shuffle over to the Fairmont Hotel to enjoy the CEO Jam – a uniquely Silicon Valley jam session.

Adobe Campus Tour & Lunch

Adobe hosts TYPs on a special tour of the company and the corporate campus.  TYP will be guests of Michelle Mann, Miguel Salinas and Michael Bangs, who will introduce us to their corporate social responsibility program, the Adobe Youth Voices movement and the greening of Adobe’s campus. In addition TYPs can enjoy the much sought-after tour across the skybridges and gaze at the wind spires.

June Community Service Project

TYPs partner up with Sacred Heart Community Services for a morning of volunteerism on Saturday June 5 from 9:00AM-12:00PM.  SCHS provides essential services, offers tools for self-sufficiency and ministers with dignity, compassion and respect.  Volunteers will help sort food and clothing in preparation for the upcoming week’s distribution.

TYP May Social

CreaTV hosts TYP’s May Social!  CreaTV San Jose is a member-based non-profit organization that manages the City of San Jose’s public access TV station and community media center. CreaTV also provides production equipment and classes in video production, directing, editing, lighting, etc. –everything needed to learn how to create a non-commercial TV show, PSA, short video, special or documentary to air on CreaTV San Jose.

TYP service day with City Year

TYP joins City Year – downtown San Jose’s yellow-jacketed youth non-profit organization – for an environmental cleanup community service project at Meadowfair Park in San Jose. Bring your bag lunch and join City Year corps members from around the US for a day of park beautification and landscaping. TYP puts on the heat in February with its montly mixer, this month at Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge on 3rd/San Fernando streets downtown San Jose.  Enjoy what is one of downtown’s coolest hot spots.  Mix and mingle with fellow young professionals, and linger as long as you’d like.

The almost-complete Norman Y. Mineta International Airport hosts a small group of TYPs on an all-access tour on February 24th.  First, enjoy a reception hosted by the airport followed by a full-tour of the facility.  Unless you end up working on the airport staff, this may be the only time you can see these areas of Silicon Valley’s cutting-edge travel hub…

January Social

Bay 101 hosted over 75 TYPs at the first monthly social for 2010!  After a sellout success at The Brit in Almaden this December, TYPs enjoyed generous samples from what is possibly San Jose’s best kept secret – Bay 101′s restaurant, Sutter’s Broiler.  Mixing, mingling, and tours led by veteran gamer, Tom, were a  hit.
